A recording, video and concert presentation of 17th century English music for division viols, performed on two original English viols from the time. A unique opportunity for audiences to hear this repertoire on the instruments for which it was written. The project has an improvisatory element and includes our own arrangements of ballad tunes and ground bass divisions alongside dances and divisions by Simpson, Jenkins, Hely, Norcombe and Young.
