'Still Life' will be the title of Música d’Outrora’s debut album, an exploration of 17th-century compositions intricately tied to the captivating theme of Stylus Fantasticus. These works, celebrated for their extreme contrasts, freedom, and ingenuity, perfectly encapsulate the values that define the essence of our ensemble.

Our album will explore 17th-century composers' hidden gems, revealing their exceptional yet lesser-known works. Unrecorded violin compositions by Italian composers such as Viviani and Albertini are among the works awaiting discovery. The inclusion of anonymous Viola Bastarda works, coupled with keyboard compositions by Gregorio Strozzi, further enriches this mosaic of the 17th-century baroque.
