The Muse's Cauldron: A Journey Through the Grotte de Téthys is an audiovisual project that reinterprets French Baroque music with a modern twist. By performing works by Marais, Forqueray, Couperin, and d'Hervelois, inspired by Le Grotto de Versailles, the project will blend historical authenticity with contemporary aesthetics. The narrative structure, influenced by Homer’s Odyssey, will resonate with Louis XIV’s love for Greek antiquity. Filmed in a warehouse-like setting or an industrial dance venue in London, the project will draw parallels between Baroque dance music and today’s electronic music culture. This project will be in collaboration with the artists Maximilian Siebers (film) and Purdey Williams (art).
