Two collaborative concerts of music by Orlando Gibbons to mark the 400th anniversary of his death, bringing his wonderful output of pieces ‘apt for Viols and Voyces’ to audiences in Salisbury. On 18 July 2025 the Rose Consort joins the Senior Choristers and Lay Vicars of the Cathedrals of Chichester, Salisbury and Winchester in Salisbury Cathedral, and on 27 September 2025 in St Thomas's Church, Salisbury the Sarum Consort and Rose Consort bring the inventive sound-world of Gibbons to life in elaborate verse anthems, expressive madrigals and in his finely wrought consort pieces.
