A celebration of 200 years of the railway. Queen Victoria’s Consort are working in partnership with The Friends of the Stockton and Darlington Railway to recreate the music which was played at railway events during the early years of steam travel. Eight new arrangements of pieces from the railway events as well as arrangements of local composers who worked on the railway have been recorded and now thanks to the funding from Continuo Foundation will be played live to audiences in the North East, the cradle of the steam era.
