Crossing Paths

Image-empty-state.png
In their debut album, Londinium Consort presents 'Crossing Paths', a programme that delves into the profound themes of journeys, exile and immigration in works of the British Renaissance, centred on the works of John Dowland and his contemporaries. In homage to the rich tradition of player-composers in Dowland's time, new works by emerging composers, some from within the ensemble, intersperse songs and dances from the turn of the 17th century. The album will also feature the premiere of a new work, 'Threshold', written for Londinium Consort by award-winning composer and fiddle player Owen Spafford.
